Getting Ready for the Big Days

We have 31 exceptional vendors and
we're waiting for the big days. Posters and postcards have been distributed throughout the NW beach communities. News ads have been published. Hopefully, our push in aggressive advertising will pay off with lots of customers.

Debbie Deupree, Soap Maker

We would like to welcome Debbie to our bazaar
for the first year.

Seaview Manor Bazaar
135 12th Avenue
Seaside, Oregon 97138

October 23 and 24, 2015
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Debbie makes natural home-made soaps. She has many fragrances to choose from, so you are going to want to spend some time making selections.

While you're looking, think
hostess gifts,
stocking stuffers,
gifts for teachers,
guest bathrooms,
or a gift for yourself.

Carol Edwards, Mask Maker

Seaview Manor Bazaar
135 12th Avenue
Seaside, Oregon 97138

October 23 and 24, 2015
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This is much more than a bazaar. It is a venue for talented artists and crafters who want to give back to the community. It benefits the vendors and our chosen charity, The Harbor, an organization that fights domestic violence.

Carol comes to us from The Harbor and is working hard to move her life in the right direction.

She is very creative and spends hours
making unusual masks.

Her masks are created as wall hangings, though you could probably wear them to a costume party.

Just in time for Halloween, don't you agree?

Alison Winchester, Refinisher

When Ali sees used furniture, she thinks "recycle", and comes up with the most beautiful shabby chic finishes. She uses natural paint products, odorless and non-toxic, providing a matte finish. Perfect for the beach.

Ali uses "Chalk It Up", a paint powder
which enables her to choose any color of latex paint
to turn it into chalk paint.

You are invited to shop at the
Seaview Manor Bazaar
October 23 and 24, 2015

to purchase one-of-a-kind items
you won't find anywhere else.
Besides...

Carol Allen, Naturalist

I have had one of Carol's lavender sachets
in my car for 5 years. Any time I want to freshen up
the interior I squeeze it in my hand a few times, and
the lavender smell permeates all those car odors.
I wouldn't be without it.

Carol loves her animals and knows a lot about what
makes them happy. Her catnip toys and dog biscuits
sell out every year.

And Carol is a traveler. She usually has treasures
that she brings home from around the world with our
bazaar in mind. So you won't want to miss what
she has for us at the

Carolyn Anderson, Jeweler

Carolyn is a woman of many talents. Not only does she do our books for the bazaar, but she is a creative jeweler.

She uses beautiful crystal beads to make sun catchers...

cell phone fobs...

and ornaments.

Carolyn donates her profits to charity and often rallies her friends to work with her to create something. This year 100% of the sale of these tiles will be included in our donation to The Harbor, which provides aid to domestic abuse victims.

Trish Hanson, Laser Artist

Talk about a conversation piece! No one can believe that Trish's art is actually wood. Some of her work is so intricate, it defies belief. Just look at this newly designed wall art!

She creates a variety of innovative works, including ornaments, religious icons...

inspirational sculptures, and whimsical art displays.

I love these flowers
to tuck into a plant or bouquet.

Trish has hundreds of designs to choose from, so be prepared to take plenty of time to browse.

Denise White, Creative Crafter

Denise has always loved the beach and beach combing. Her most recent trip involved shelling on Sanibel Island off the coast of Florida. She incorporates the beautiful shells into frames, along with rhinestones, fresh water pearls, and vintage buttons from her grandmother's collection.

She loves the simplicity and intricacy of the shells.
And don't you think she has just the right accent
on the frame?

What a beautiful way to display your favorite
memories of your time at the beach!

Denise is creative in many different ways,
always looking to put the perfect touch on entertaining,
like these party picks.

As Denise looks forward to retirement, she plans to continue crafting and gardening, mainstays in protecting her sanity during a 35-year nursing career in oncology.

Come see us and support our efforts to benefit
The Harbor in Astoria, Oregon.

Jennifer McSheridan, Knitter

Jennifer learned to knit as a small child in England. She owned and operated the "International Yarn Shop" in Kent, Washington for 10 years.

Since giving up the yarn shop she has done
area craft shows,

and has taught hand knitting and conducted
machine knitting classes.

She has also been commissioned to create
custom knitted garments.

The beautiful shawl below is so versatile and
makes any clothing look elegant -
the perfect accessory to tuck into your suitcase!

You'll have lots of color and design choices
when you see Jennifer's display at the

Billi Odegaard, Baker

My sister Billi is so supportive of our effort to put on a bazaar that we can be proud of, and she loves that we donate the proceeds to The Harbor, which fights domestic abuse in Clatsop County. So do try to attend

the Bazaar at Seaview Manor
135 12th Avenue
Seaside, Oregon 97138

October 23 and 24, 2015
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Billi has spent hours perfecting macadamia nut shortbread cookies. And now she spends hours making enough to meet the demand for them...something like 50 pounds of them. They rival the very best in Hawaii.

She designs and arranges the display for the food items we offer.

She puts up with the upheaval as we turn the bottom floor of the house into a boutique;  she welcomes the guests we  have in the house, usually 10 - 12; she provides food for the weekend; she greets many of our customers; and she does everything within her power to make sure everything goes smoothly. So I offer my heartfelt thanks to her.

Joyce Cutler, Seamstress

Joyce moves among her sewing, serger, and embroidery machines with ease, selecting from a multitude of colored threads to create the most amazing things. You would never know she underwent major heart surgery this past year by looking at her workroom!

Joyce loves to embroider! These are embroidered leaves to scatter on your Thanksgiving table. How clever is that?

This is a new casserole carrier. It has a solid metal bottom so that your casserole stays safely upright as you carry it.

Cloth napkins always add a bit of elegance to your table. All that stitching you see is Joyce's embroidery. And her prices reflect the joy she gets from designing and sewing, not the money.

These oven mitts have sold out year after year, so if you want some, now is the time to buy! Yes, those are pockets on the front so you can slip your hand inside. There are layers and layers of fabric to protect your hands from the heat.

Even though she took several months off from sewing to recover from her heart surgery, she seems to be back in full swing - well, maybe not "full", but in "half" swing. So we're delighted to have Joyce be part of our bazaar.

Dave Bartholet, Wildlife Artist

Dave is selective about how far he can stretch his time, limiting himself to 30 shows a year across the country. He resides in Seaside, Oregon, where he and his wife Penny operate the Gilbert District Gallery on Broadway.

His loose style of watercolors has proven to be very popular, and he has more than 400 of his original paintings available in limited edition prints. Over 100,000 homes have his work on display.

Dave has illustrated many magazine and book covers and was commissioned by the National Wildlife Refuge to commemorate its 100-years, a 30 x 50 foot effort.

Clash of the Titans

He often says he paints, not because he can, but because he must.

Dave believes he was born to paint and credits God with his natural ability.

We are lucky, indeed, that Dave has consented to share some of his pieces with our bazaar at Seaview Manor.
