He has been painting porcelain since 1984 and is involved in many professional art organizations, sometimes as a guest artist, sometimes as an instructor, sometimes as a juror, often as an officer, and always as a visionary.

Michael sees each porcelain piece he selects as a 

three-dimensional canvas.

Jobina Lacock, Seamstress

Jobina and her daughter Donna have created Deep Forest Workshop as a mother/daughter project. Donna designs the purses and selects the gorgeous batiks they use in their creations.

Jobina does all the impeccable sewing.

They also make aprons and knitted scarves.

Each piece they create is unique and one-of-a-kind. Mother and daughter are (and should be) very proud of their work. What a perfect gift - even for yourself!

Karen Brownlee, Clay Artist

We are pleased to welcome Karen to our bazaar for the first year. She primarily works in stoneware functional pottery, but also creates pieces in porcelain, raku, and alternative firing methods.

Her pieces have classic lines and bold colors.

Each piece is made to be uplifting, friendly, and unique.

Her works are shown at galleries and festivals in Southwestern Washington and Oregon.

Karen spearheads the annual Empty Bowls of Long Beach Peninsula in Washington, which raises money to feed the hungry by the sale of handmade bowls. Working with elementary school students in this process, they have made over 4,200 bowls in the last seven years.

I am looking forward to seeing her display and I have my money ready!

Inspired by the colorful seas, skies, and homes of the Pacific Northwest Coast and the Virgin Islands, Ronni  has developed her own unique artistry by blending her love of painting and her love of quilting. If you want something totally unique, you'll definitely want one of these lovely paintings. 

Ronnie paints, then adds finely knotted thread for flowers, or small sticks for the fence, or does a bit of quilting to make the picture three dimensional.

She has selected several paintings to reproduce as pillow covers or tiles.

Ronni's Jack Russel terrier, Maggiemae, has led her to do commissioned work of your dog or cat.

Ronni shows her work in Oregon and Washington galleries, as well as St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.

This is the third year Bree has designed our beautiful posters. I think she could make a lovely book of them.                                                                        

She has designed her own font to enhance her art and rhyme writing.












Bree loves her folklings, or imps, tiny beings that live in the most unexpected places. You will see them in all the posters.

This is a close-up of her painting of "The Reading Tree." It makes me feel good just to look at it!

Notice how her font enhances the whimsical painting, perfect for an anniversary.

The following is a sample of her poetry, but notice how flat it is when I bring it into this boring font. The verse begs for her font!

LAND OF FOLKLINGS

deep within the world we know - beneath the seeds we all have sown - beyond the corner of the eyes - of those that always ask us why - in the place from whence you feel - there behind the turning wheel - lies a world of things we've all half-seen 

the way is hidden yet plain to see - ready for those who long to be - in the Land of Folklings here with me.

Brianna brings her art to the bazaar as prints or notecards, and now she makes beautiful silk scarves using natural materials as dyes.

Alan Seidenfeld, Jeweler

Alan has been a popular jewelry artist since the beginning of the bazaar, partly because he's so prolific in creating new designs. He participates in art shows in the Portland area and wherever he travels.

Alan always has something new to share. He calls the red and yellow bracelet and earrings below "fire", and I agree!

His one-of-a-kind bracelets always spark compliments.

These simple earrings could be just the thing to finish an outfit.

Doris Dunn, Eclectic Artist

Doris finds inspiration from the ocean at her doorstep in Seaside, OR, calling her art "shabby chic coastal cottage art." She uses recycled/reclaimed items including old wood and windows, as well as natural materials such as shells and sand.

She also creates unique themed gift baskets which include her own art along with suitable "goodies" - maybe dog biscuits, maybe her hand made soap, or maybe a journal, and always a unique basket.
